St Mary's RC Primary School is making a powerful impact in the community by joining forces with BBALL FUNDAMENTALZ for an inspiring charity fundraiser. This exciting partnership blends a love for basketball with a commitment to support education, inviting families of the school community to engage and contribute to a meaningful cause.

The Exciting Initiative

The fundraiser is set to be a vibrant day filled with basketball activities, games, and a strong sense of community. Parents, teachers, and students are all looking forward to participating in what promises to be an engaging event.

Participants can expect a variety of basketball-themed activities, from skill drills for different age groups to friendly competitions, all facilitated by Coach James, founder of the local community basketball provision BBALL FUNDAMENTALZ. Coach James is renowned for boosting basketball skills in young players, teaching them not only the game but also essential values like teamwork and perseverance. This all steamed from the development of his now 12 year old son, Lil Joshua who has been playing basketball since he was 6 years old. Since that time he has been featured on the likes of OVERTIME and OVERTIME EUROPE (a sports media company primarily focused on Gen Z audiences, known for its focus on high school basketball highlights), and has played internationally for the London Lions Academy across Europe amongst other highlights in his short career.

Supporting the Cause

With St Mary's RC Primary choosing to support charities of their choice, BBALL FUNDAMENTALZ will not only be supporting their fundraising efforts but will be raising money for its own local charity too - The Mid and South Essex Hospital Charity. Coach James recently donated Christmas gifts to the charity in December 2024 for children of the Thurrock and Basildon Community Hospital. He now aims to raffle exclusive basketball shoes, trainers and gift voucher to raise much needed money for the charity. These funds will go towards improving hospital facilities for the children and young people that stay and visit the hospital, as well as helping to make older patients more comfortable too.

Engaging the Community

A vital part of this fundraiser is its ability to unite the local community. Parents and children will come together with a shared purpose, forging connections that go beyond the classroom. This initiative is a wonderful chance for families to meet and build lasting friendships within the community.

The collaboration between St Mary's RC Primary and BBALL FUNDAMENTALZ exemplifies community spirit, showing what can be achieved when everyone pitches in to support local children and their education.

Rally for the Future

The charity fundraiser at St Mary’s RC Primary is a fantastic opportunity for the school and local community to come together for a charitable cause. With basketball activities led by BBALL FUNDAMENTALZ and other fundraising activities run by teachers and pupils of the school, this event is set to be filled with excitement, joy, and a purpose.
